Advanced ReviewerAs of December 12, 2019, I have finally received my final paycheck for $200.85 from Allied Universal.
Allied Universal has not contacted me and I still have not received my final paycheck from them. I have since taken this issue to the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and I have received letters from both agencies stating that my issue is not within their jurisdiction.
I received one of my two last AU paychecks on Thursday, October 31, and I'm still waiting for the final one.
After I had started working at Allied Universal’s Downtown L.A. Branch (currently located @ 700 South Flower St, Suite 400) in late April of 2019, I was assigned a scheduling supervisor named Christyne Taylor who had sent me to at least three posts in L.A.
County where no AU guards on duty was properly informed of my coming to each of these posts. The last post I worked at since May (Gateway Plaza, 300 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101), I was never even properly informed by Ms. Taylor that I would be made a permanent AU guard there.
According to Ms. Taylor in a phone text message, my very last two paychecks (or i.e., “two documents”) for the work I did on October 12th,13th,19th, and 20th of 2019 would be mailed to my home as I requested, but I still have not received my paychecks yet.
Sadly, but not surprisingly, this experience has thoroughly confirmed the extreme lack of professionalism and sheer childish ignorance I have heard of coming from Allied Universal.
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Monetary Loss: $402.
Preferred solution: For Allied Universal to immediately give me my last two pay checks for my 32 hours on October 12th,13th,19th, and 20th of 2019. .
Allied Universal Pros: Paid every week.
Allied Universal Cons: Complete operations.
Location: 639 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90017

I have worked for Allied Universal as a security officer since 1-28-10 for the last 5 years I have at only been posted at 3 sites. 1) In Grants Pass Oregon Fire Mountain Gems.
2) Boise Cascade in Medford Oregon 3) Carestream Medical located in White City Oregon. I started at a rate of $10 per hour but 2 weeks later I was dropped to 9 per hour. They would also leave an hour off my check forget to pay overtime or holiday pay. But the last straw was when my wife was in the hospital in November and in need of surgery.
I called off for the week and asked to use my sick time of 40 hours that was available from 120 hours. I was told no I could only use it for myself. I was told I had to use my Vacation time for my wife instead. I was not told how much vacation time I had.
So when I got my check for that week it was short. They only paid me for 32 hours. I have been shorted out 16 hours at a time from them or paid for 10 hours when I worked 49. When I have complained it has taken up 9 months to get 1 hour of holiday pay.
I decided to leave the company and my last day was to 1-31-20 because I found out that I had 75 hours more of vacation time that was handed back to the company at the end of the year.
I was made to believe I was out of vacation hours is why my check was short. No true!!!!!!
